Information for Councils

In 2008, funding of the System of Care Cooperative Agreement ended in Idaho. In an attempt to sustain the local and regional council efforts, the Department of Health and Welfare contracted with the Idaho Federation of Families to carry out many of the activities of the councils. Several of the regional councils have become subcommittees of Regional Mental Health Boards. The Idaho Federation of Families is providing funding to each region for children’s mental health awareness and outreach activities as well as both parent and youth support groups. Funding requests should be sent to the Regional Mental Health board for support and then forwarded to the Federation for final approval and funding.
