Volunteers are the heart of the Idaho Federation of Families. We currently need special event and fundraising volunteers, and volunteers to assist with clerical support, community awareness, support groups and more. Please see our list of volunteer opportunities to find out more about our current openings.
The Idaho Federation of Families is in need of volunteers in the following areas:
Office Assistant
Days/Times: Regular Federation office hours.
Duties: Data entry, bulk mailings, computer and general office duties.
Special Events/Fundraising
Days/Times: Varies depending on the event or project.
Duties: Work on various internal and external fundraising activities including the Fire Fighter Benefit Bachelor
Auction, Bite out of Stigma, and the Albertsons Boise Open Golf Tournament.
Community Relations–Awareness/Outreach
Days/Times: Varies
Duties: Be available to and prepared for speaking on the behalf of the Federation at an assortment of speaking engagements
to organizations, groups, and agencies. Community Relations are also encouraged to solicit speaking engagements. Family members
and youth attending policy or collaborative meetings will have the opportunity to learn more about the system that directly affects
them, as well as work to have their voice heard.
Support Group Facilitator
Days/Times: Varies
Duties: Serve as a facilitator for either a youth or parent support group for, but not limited to, parents or caretakers
of youth and/or youth who live with serious emotional disturbance [or disharmony].
Media & Public Relations
Days/Times: Varies
Duties: Contribute articles to blog, website, and newsletters; help with event material, marketing and communication
projects.
Volunteer Coordinator Committee
Days/Times: Varies
Duties: Recruits volunteers, helps to coordinate and communicate with volunteers for fundraisers and specials events,
Devise and implement volunteer recognition programs.
